Did you know that you can train yourself not to react quickly? By exercising the gift of self-control, things won’t blurt out of your mouth uncontrollably. You have been use to responding to people and sometimes it’s with a negative attitude. The old adage “count to ten” before responding has wisdom in it. Pause before you speak, check your attitude. You will not be controlled by your emotions unless you allow it.
James 1:19-20 (NET) “Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters! Let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger. For human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness.” Hebrews 5:14 (NASB1995) “But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.” ------ Check out the book Generations: Passing on Your Spiritual Inheritance by Robin Robinson Bohlin.
